Thousands of students have signed a petition after the University of Manchester announced plans to keep lectures permanently online.

The university has said 'blended learning' will continue for many students even after the coronavirus pandemic, leaving some lecture halls empty and moving most learning online.

Only 'interactive' learning will be delivered in person under the plans.
