Erik ten Hag believes players are at breaking point after seeing another player joining Manchester United's lengthy injury list, with Mason Mount a doubt for Sunday's trip to Everton after picking up a knock in training.
United have been beset by injuries all season and on a day when Luke Shaw is providing some relief by returning to the squad for the first time since August, Mount has added to Ten Hag's problems in midfield.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are already sidelined with muscle injuries, which will leave United with just Scott McTominay, Sofyan Amrabat and Bruno Fernandes as fit midfielders for the trip to Goodison Park.

Rasmus Hojlund also faces a race against time to be fit for the Everton game, but Andre Onana has recovered from an injury picked up on international duty. Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia and Amad are all absent at the moment.
Last season United played 62 games in all competitions, while several players also featured in the World Cup in Qatar in November and December. The revamped Champions League will see two more games added to the schedule next season, while FIFA's new Club World Cup competition will begin in the summer of 2025, with 32 teams involved.
United are far from the only side to be battling an injury crisis this season and Ten Hag believes players are being pushed over the edge by the game's governing bodies.
