A proposed shakeup of the way Manchester council discusses climate change is due to be signed off - but campaigners have described the changes as ‘tokenistic’.

More than 1,700 people and organisations signed a petition calling for a new scrutiny committee to allow councillors to focus solely on examining the city’s approach to the environment.
