A pensioner suffered serious leg injuries when he was 'struck' by a car after collapsing in the middle of a road, police have revealed. The 67-year-old man, who hasn't been named, was walking across the road at the time.

A man sustained a serious facial injury in an "unprovoked attack" after he was punched at a popular Scots music festival. The serious assault happened at the Belladrum Tartan Music Festival near Inverness on Friday, July 29.
A 40-year-old man was punched while waiting at a burger van within the red camp area of the site around 10.30pm. He was treated at the first aid site and then transferred to Raigmore Hospital with a serious facial injury.
The festival which took place from Thursday to Saturday last week attracted a stellar line-up of acts, including; Sam Ryder, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Van Morrison.
Police are appealing for witnesses who attended the busy event at the time. Detective Constable Ross Cooper, of Inverness CID, said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“The festival site was busy at the time and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who has information that could help with our investigation. “If you can assist then please contact us on 101, quoting reference CR/0034689/22, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
