Man dies in hospital after police stopped him in Greenock street

stabbing in Grangemouth during the early hours of this morning.Emergency service raced to a block of flats on Islay Court at around 1.20am following reports of a disturbance.A 34-year-old man is being treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.A 29-old-man was also injured in the disturbance.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the two vehicles collided on the B794 near Haugh of Urr, Kirkcudbrightshire in Dumfries and Galloway.Police sealed off the area and two men and two women were taken to hospital for treatment.Officers advised drivers to avoid the area at around 5pm, but the road has now reopened.
