EastEnders star Maisie Smith has sparked fears that she's split up with boyfriend Max George after posting a tearful video on TikTok.
The Strictly star, 21, took to social media yesterday to upload emotional footage of herself which was accompanied by the song Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me At All) by Omar Apollo.
According to The Mirror, it included clips of Maisie - best known for playing Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap - crying and wiping her eyes. Such scenes were set to lyrics like: "You didn't deserve me at all".
The video concluded with footage of the actress looking red-eyed as she lip-synced to the song. She appears frustrated in the latter part of the video, which has 2.4 million views.
The post prompted some speculation that her and Max - who confirmed their relationship last month - had split up, with some expressing concern in the comments section.
One person wrote in response to the video: "They've broken up?" Another questioned: "Did you break up?" Whilst one viewer speculated to a friend: "Think they've split".
Many fans, however, dispelled the rumour, stating that the caption of the post highlighted that the emotional content was referencing a past relationship, not her new romance.
Maisie - who recently appeared on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins - had wrote in the caption: "Nothing but happiness these days". It suggested that footage is about the past.
Max, 34, appeared to confirm this as an account believed to belong to the Wanted member commented on the post: "My absolute world my angel". It included a heart emoji.
One fan wrote: "They are still together". Another said: "She's saying she's the happiest now". A third said: "I think these are old [videos] guys as the caption says she's happy?"
Max has since

Max George appears to have covered up a tattoo he previously had of ex-girlfriend Stacey Giggs’ name. The pair first began dating in 2020 and, over the course of their romance, singer Max, 34, got Stacey’s name tattooed across his wrist. In a new snap shared to Instagram however, the Glad You Came singer appeared to debut a new tattoo which looked to cover up Stacey’s name amid his blossoming romance with new girlfriend Maisie Smith. In a now-deleted snap shared to his page, Max posed for a selfie as he flashed a peace sign with his left hand.
