Magic Mountain Announces April 1 Reopening After Being Closed For More Than A Year

Los Angeles County’s weeks-long decline in new Covid-19 case rates stalled on Tuesday, even as California Governor Gavin Newsom announced the state is planning to drop its restrictive Covid-19 tier system come June 15. As a result of its numbers, L.A. County will be unable to advance to the less-restrictive Yellow tier of the aforementioned reopening tiers for at least three more weeks.

As Disneyland and Disney California Adventure prepare to open their gates April 30, the company Tuesday reminded fans that capacity restraints require online reservations in advance for the parks, which will be open from 9 am to 7 pm, and provided the latest updates on how to do it.

“Hopefully we will continue to see a decrease in cases and qualify for the Yellow tier three weeks from now,” said Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer on Monday.

California will allow indoor concerts, theater performances, sporting events and conferences to resume starting April 15 in eligible areas. The state unveiled its latest change to novel coronavirus-fueled restrictions Friday, according to the Associated Press, and stated that these events and performances can take place in areas coded as red, orange and yellow per California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
