Queen Elizabeth II is paying tribute to her late husband Prince Philip on the 1-year anniversary of his death.Her Royal Highness' official Twitter account posted a touching message Saturday dedicated to the Duke of Edinburgh, who died last year at 99 from old age. The social media post included the poem «The Patriarchs — An Elegy» by Simon Armitage.The poem read in part, «The weather in the window this morning is snow, unseasonal singular flakes, a slow winter's shiver.

Queen Elizabeth made sure to honor her beloved late husband Prince Philip in a special way on the one-year anniversary of his death. The Duke of Edinburgh passed away at the age of 99 due to natural causes on April 9, 2021. In a moving tribute, the reigning monarch of the U.K., 95, took to her official social media account to share a poem and a video montage (below) in honor of the love of her life. “Remembering His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on the first anniversary of his death,” the post was captioned.

Sony Pictures Classics announced today that its golf film The Phantom of the Open, starring Academy Award winner Mark Rylance, Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins and BAFTA Award nominee Rhys Ifans, will open in New York and Los Angeles on June 3, with a wider release in additional markets set for the following weeks.

Thania Garcia The Prince Estate has and Sony Music have announced a deluxe release of “Prince and The Revolution: Live,” the legendary 1985 concert toward the end of the 100-date “Purple Rain” concert tour which was originally broadcast via satellite from the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on March 30, 1985. The film was first released on VHS in the late ’80s and was out of print for decades before being re-released as part of the “Purple Rain” deluxe boxed set in 2017.Now, the completely remastered and digitally enhanced footage will be made available on vinyl for the first time along with CD and Blu-ray formats starting June 3, 2022.According to the announcement, the deluxe edition of “Prince and The Revolution: Live” has been “entirely enhanced and reconstructed,” with the original video source rescanned, restored and color-corrected with the original multitrack audio master reels remixed and remastered onto Blu-ray video with selectable stereo, 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos sound.

The 2022 Oscars took a moment during Sunday night’s broadcast to pay tribute to "The Godfather" film series.  Director Francis Ford Coppola, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro took the stage at the 94th Annual Academy Awards to celebrate the iconic crime-drama’s 50th anniversary.  After Sean "Diddy" Combs introduced the three stars, Coppola, 82, Pacino, 81, and DeNiro, 79, all joined together on stage to thank the "legends" that brought the film together years ago. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will release an album of music he recorded as the fictional metal band Dream Widow this week.In the Foo Fighters’ recent comedy-horror film Studio 666, the band hire a mansion in Encino to record their 10th studio album, but Grohl soon becomes possessed by a curse and begins viciously attacking his bandmates.Throughout the film, we learn that decades earlier, the band Dream Widow experienced a similar fate, with the band recording a “lost album” before their frontman murdered the rest of the band.Now, according to Variety, that “lost album” will arrive digitally this Friday (March 25), with a physical release to follow later in the year.Grohl has already released the first single to be lifted from the Dream Widow record, having shared ‘March of the Insane’ last month. The thrash-influenced cut sees Grohl howl lyrics like “Sing in a villainous choir / Join in a chorus of pain,” above blistering, heavily distorted guitar riffs and frenetic drums.It’s not clear how many tracks the record will contain, or what the overall sound will be, but Grohl cited Trouble, Corrosion of Conformity and Kyuss as reference points when speaking to Rolling Stone about the project last month.
