While speaking from the set of his upcoming Hallmark movie Christmas Village, Luke said that this one will likely be his last.
“They’ve been very good to me, but I think I’ve told my story for now with those folks,” he said. With a laugh, he added, “I mean, how many firefighters can I play?”
Luke was asked to explain what he brought to Bros from his experience in Hallmark movies.
“One thing that I really enjoyed about making Hallmark movies is it’s really fun to flirt. It’s fun to play that energy on camera, where relationships are at their best in those early times. I guess Hallmark has given me a lot of flirting lessons,” he said.
Here are Luke‘s three hidden talents that you wouldn’t expect.

Antonio Ferme editor Are we witnessing the start of the “Bros” Cinematic Universe? Billy Eichner stars in the Universal Pictures rom-com as the director of an LGBTQ history museum who falls for a hunky attorney (Luke Macfarlane). After scoring positive reactions at TIFF, Variety was on the movie’s premiere red carpet in New York City Tuesday night to ask if a potential sequel could be in the works. “Billy and I’ve been joking about [the possibilities], I’m not sure what it would be,” Macfarlane told Variety. “The truth is, in any relationship, those early months are the best. And then the reality of life sets in and you got to figure out how you’re going to spend all that time with somebody.”

Warner Bros. already had the date set aside on the release calendar.
Billy Eichner’s “Bros” just make history at the Toronto International Film Festival? It certainly felt like it. The Universal movie is breaking all kinds of barriers: It’s the first gay rom-com ever made by a major studio, the first with an all openly LGBTQ cast and Eichner is the first openly gay man to ever write and star in a studio movie. Audiences finally got to see the movie for themselves in Toronto on Friday night and, judging by the shrieks of laughter throughout the screening, it was a hit. “I want to thank TIFF for letting a comedy into a movie festival!” Eichner yelled into the audience before the film rolled, making a valid point about the dearth of studio comedies that world premiere at top international film festivals.

Marc Malkin Senior Film Awards, Events & Lifestyle Editor Welcome to this week’s “Just for Variety.” As you’ll read (and see in the video above), this week’s column is a little different this time around. I am running around the Beverly Center trying to find something to wear for my interview with actor Luke Macfarlane. It’s not often I think about my outfits because I’m classic and consistent — chinos, button-up shirt, bow tie and a pair of colorful sneakers. However, my time with Macfarlane is going to be different because my editor has convinced me not only to work out with him, but to do it on camera.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back!
is back with a pared down cast, but double the drama for season 3. OG stars Whitney Rose, Jen Shah, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay and Meredith Marks all return for this fresh batch of episodes, which largely focus on Jen's ongoing legal battle with the federal government — at least judging by the just-released trailer. In July, Jen changed her plea in her federal fraud case to guilty after professing her innocence for more than a year, including while filming this new season.
