It's no secret that Love Island contestants can earn a fortune after leaving the villa, but during their time on the show they also receive weekly money. With Islanders having to take a large amount of time off work to take part in the show, many Love Island fans have been wondering how they continue to pay their bills and rent while they're in the villa.
Each contestant is paid a weekly amount by ITV for appearing on the hit dating show, which helps to cover their outgoings back at home. In 2021, Love Island stars were reportedly paid around £250 per week while appearing on the ITV2 show, according to The Sun.

Last year contestants are said to have received extra money as they had to quarantine before entering the villa, due to Spanish entry requirements. Priya Gopaldas, who appeared on the show in 2021, previously shared on Instagram how she had taken home £750 for her eight-day stint in the villa, appearing to confirm that she'd been paid for her two week quarantine.
