Dr Alex George has been hospitalised for the second time in just a few days.
The former Love Island star shared the worrying update on Instagram, as he posted a selfie of himself in A&E. Dr Alex shared that he had been rushed back to hospital just a few days after returning home. He has been recently been suffering from tonsillitis, which has now taken a turn for the worse.
In his latest post, he told fans: "Spirit feels a bit broken writing this but sadly I had to come back to A&E this morning, throat was swelling up and getting worse with quinsy. Breathing is ok but thats always the big worry. "Really want to be positive but I haven’t slept in a week, hardly eaten with pain and fevers.
I know there are so many worse off than me and I am doing my best to be grateful and positive but yeh, can’t always be I guess." He continued: "The doctors and nurses have been so kind and caring, thank you. Just got to roll with punches now and I will be better soon.
Thank you so much for the love and support, Alex x." Fans were quick to send well-wishes to the TV and radio star, with one writing: "Oh Alex, I am so sorry to hear you still feel very poorly - luckily you are under a good care. I hope tonsils will heal soon - it does take time and it’s extremely painful so hang in there." "Sending so much love and best wishes to you.
Hope you feel better soon and thanks for being you.
Take as long as you need and rest as much as you can xx" added another. While a third penned: "Oh my God, I wish you a speedy recovery. Everything will be fine, I am sending you all my positive thoughts." It comes just a couple of days after Alex revealed that he had been rushed to hospital over the Easter weekend, after suffering a severe bout of tonsillitis
