Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Teddy Soares broke down in tears on the show as he opened up about his lack of contact with his mum. The Love Island star, 28, who is currently starring on the Channel 4 programme, opened up about facing his 'demons' as he shared his pain over not speaking to his parent. Sharing the clip from the show with his followers, Teddy wrote: "Confronting My Demons.
In this Sunday's episode of @sas_whodareswins, I address the scars I've kept hidden. It's a tough process, but it's where true strength comes from." In the video, Teddy can be seen in a darkened room at the Celeb SAS camp as he confided in the special forces team. He candidly says: "If you asked me two, three years ago, do you need any contact from your own mum, I would have told you 'no, I don't care.' "If I answer now, I think I am just sick of not knowing that part of who I am." After being asked if he had reached out to his parent, he replied: "No.
I just haven't really been brave enough. And I think literally the only thing that's stopping me is me." Fans were quick to show Teddy support for being so vulnerable, with one person saying: "The not knowing is what hurts, I get it. My own mum refused her entire life to tell me anything about my father." Another added: "I really hope you find your mum, and if she's looking on social media, she breaks the ice first and contacts you.
Life is too short to hold grudges, and you don't know what's around the corner. "You can see the tears in his eyes; he misses her." "You've got this," a third penned. "Incredibly strong and brave." A fourth added: "Proud of you." It comes as Teddy also revealed he struggled after ending up with 'painful' trench foot on the show, alongside other contestants.
