Samie Elishi has broken her silence about her split from Love Island beau Tom Clare.The former flames met on the most recent series of the show and went on to make it all the way to the final. While things between them seemed to be going well, six weeks on from leaving the South African villa, Tom and Samie have officially called things quits.
Following speculation that they’d ended their romance, Tom, 23, confirmed the news yesterday as he penned to his Instagram Story: “Didn’t think I’d be writing this but me & Samie have one [our] separate ways… we are still on good terms & I have nothing but love and respect for her. I’m gutted it’s come to an end but I truly wish Samie the best”.
He ended the statement with a red heart emoji. Now Samie herself has spoken out via social media, and shared a statement on Instagram on Thursday.
She said: "Really didn't want to have to write an Instagram Story on this but the comments and messages I have been getting since Tom posted this story yesterday is just not fair. "I will be speaking about everything soon but at the moment the time isn't right (which I will also explain) Thank you for the kind messages they don't go unnoticed," with a red heart emoji.
Their break up comes after Samie recently admitted that she went on Love Island to get exposure, rather than find love.
