They're now signing deals with huge brands and hanging out with celebrities at swanky events, but Love Island couple Samie Elishi and Tom Clare both had very different careers before heading into the iconic villa.Tom, 23, and Samie, 22, came in third place on the winter edition of the ITV2 dating show, and despite them both appearing to be smitten, recent reports claim they've already called time on their romance. A source told The Sun: “Samie and Tom have sadly decided to call it a day.There is a lot of love and respect there but it just wasn’t going anywhere." The pair are said to be "really focused on their careers" and the "distance between them" had become too much.
After exiting the villa, both Samie and Tom have began carving out careers as social media influencers after gaining thousands of followers while on the show. Samie now boasts a whopping 637,000 Instagram followers and can be found regularly advertising clothing and beauty products.
Before she entered the villa however, 22 year old Samie had a very different career. She previously worked as a senior estate agent coordinator, which means she organises the logistics of an estate agency firm, in London.
Meanwhile Tom has returned to his pre-Love Island career as a footballer, but appears to now be balancing it with his newfound fame. The 23 year old plays as a forward for Macclesfield FC, having signed a contract with the club in June 2021.Tom signed a new two-year contract with Macclesfield FC in June 2022.
