Love Island's Marcel Somerville cheated on a previous partner on the show, but "instantly regretted it" - as he's reportedly left the home he shares with his wife, over allegations that she cheated with another man. According to reports, the reality TV star, 38, "feels like he's living a nightmare" after finding out that Rebecca Vieira, the mother of his three year old child, Roman, has allegedly been sending secret messages to US artist, Slim Jxmmi. Friends close to Marcel say the Blazing Squad singer is "completely broken" by the betrayal.
Marcel found fame as part of 10-piece UK hip hop group Blazin' Squad, which had its first hit in 2002. But when he starred in Love Island on 2017, his popularity rocketed. He was famously coupled up with Gabby Allen, with the pair eventually coming in fourth place during the final.
But their relationship wasn't all smooth-sailing, as he kissed villa newcomer, Shannen Reilly-McGrath during a challenge - causing plenty of drama. In a post-villa interview with The Guardian in 2017, Marcel reflected on the moment, saying: “I would 100% take that back.” Whilst he admitted that he made a mistake, he said: “People just forgave me straight away. I think girls do get judged more on those shows.
We didn’t have sex on the show because Gabby had made a promise to her brother, and all my boys were like, ‘Marce, just don’t have sex on TV’. It is so weird how you can be judged both ways for the same thing.” Fast-forward to 2024, and Marcel is said to have moved out of the home he shares with his wife Rebecca, with whom he tied the knot in a fancy ceremony abroad in 2022. He's thought to currently be staying with friends.
