Former Love Island contestant Laura Anderson is said to be in talks with ITV bosses to join skating competition Dancing on Ice. The 31 year old reality TV star is hoping to be in next year’s line-up and has already auditioned for the show in the past, according to The Sun. Although she impressed the bosses, the blonde Scottish beauty lost out to her ex Wes Nelson. The television presenter and singer starred in the 2019 series instead of Laura and finished as the year’s runner up.
She is pining for her time on the ice and is hoping to be tying up her pair of skates for next year’s season. A source told The Sun: "Laura would love to be on Dancing on Ice. "She loves the show and already impressed bosses when she auditioned a few years back.
"She's a dark horse and has got some moves on her." Laura missed out on her opportunity to wear a sequin outfit and skates in 2019, losing the spot on the show to former lover Wes Nelson, 24. She explained that the ITV bosses could only choose one star from Love Island and although she thought the audition went well, they chose Wes instead. At the National Television Awards in 2019, she spoke to The Metro: "I actually auditioned for Dancing On Ice but they could only pick one person from Love Island so yeah, Wes.
"My dad was terrified of me doing the headbanger, I was like passing out on the ice." She added: "I thought my audition went well!" Laura finished second alongside partner Paul Knops in 2018. She was savagely dumped by Wes Nelson after the drama fuelled Casa Amor. Despite a romance with Paul, the couple later split up.
