Love Island’s Joanna Chimonides shows off her natural, extensions-free hair

You’d almost be forgiven for forgetting that when Joanna Chimonides first entered the Love Island Villa in 2019 she had a shoulder length honey coloured bob. The reality star has become so well known for her love of dramatic extensions, it seems strange to imagine her with anything other than long blonde locks.
However, on Monday Joanna gave her more than 720k Instagram followers a peek at her natural hair before getting her latest extensions fitted.The Love Islander had recently debuted her brand new fringe a week earlier, with a post saying: “She gaaat bangs”, and showing off her new middle parted fringe.The ‘curtain bangs’ trend became popular last year, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Hailey Bieber rocking the style. Joanna's curtain bangs were cut perfectly to frame her face, and blended seamlessly into her long wavy hair.
Now, she’s released a video from the same day showing the full process of getting her hair extensions fitted, including a glimpse at her hair’s natural length. In the comments, Joanna alluded to bleaching having damaged her hair in the past, as one person left a comment about the impact bleach has, with Joanna replying saying: “I just loveeee being blonde, but but but, I’ve only started putting bleach on my hair every 4-5 months now to avoid loads of damage!” Her natural hair, however, is below shoulder length, and although much finer than the voluminous extensions she had fitted it still looked healthy and glossy.
