Love Island star Joanna C himonides has revealed how 'slim-shaming is just as bad as fat-shaming' as she embarks on her fitness journey. The 25 year old, who starred on series five of the hit ITV2 show alongside Molly-Mae Hague, opened up to OK! in an exclusive interview about how she was trolled on social media for looking 'unwell' with fans even questioning if she had 'eaten today'. Joanna, who has launched a gorgeous activewear edit with South Beach X ASOS, has started working out three times per week with her personal trainer Sophie Hamshere along with consuming 2,000 calories a day in order to gain muscle and feel stronger.
The model and presenter said: "I have always had this thing about me being really, really slim and too slim. People as I have grown up, and still to this day, I get comments like, 'have you eaten today?' or 'are you not hungry?' and 'girl, what have you been eating? Have you not eaten anything?'" She continued: "I have even got people saying, 'are you unwell?' I am naturally thin genetically. My mum is slim as well. I started looking at myself following the comments and thinking, 'I feel like I don't look womanly enough, I don't feel like I feel good' and 'I'm not filling out dresses'.
