Alexander Demetriou has reportedly been axed from Dancing on Ice after growing close to his celebrity skating partner Maura Higgins.The 28 year old professional skater’s wife Carlotta Edwards, who he split from earlier this year, is also said to have left the ITV skating show. Dancing on Ice bosses are said to be “keen” to keep the show’s reputation as a family show, and have reportedly decided Alex will not be part of the new series after rumours of a romance between him and Maura, 29.
