Love Island middle-aged spin off will be 'raucous' as they 'care less what people think'

A new ‘middle-aged’ Love Island spin-off is reportedly in the works, with the potential to be more “raucous” and “heated” than the regular version. Following Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti being crowned the winners of Love Island 2022, it's been reported that ITV bosses are considering running a version of Love Island for older hopeful romantics, after criticism about the show’s lack of diversity.The spin-off show will reportedly feature singletons in their 40s and 50s, and could allegedly be called My Mum, Your Dad.
Now, one relationship expert has given an insight into what we could expect from the series, claiming the it could be more “raucous” as the islanders will “care less what other people think about them”. Expert Lisa Forde.
went on to reveal what the differences will be between the contestants and what ISlanders in the spin-off series will be looking for in a partner. "As you get older, what you look for in a life partner changes," Lisa told the Daily Star.
"In your 20s and early 30s, often you pick your partners based on more materialistic things like looks, social circles and how ‘fun’ they are. "But when you get older, these things are replaced with how kind they are plus their morals and values." However, she said that the older islanders will be more of an open book than their younger counterparts, with the potential for a few heated arguments along the way.
Lisa said: "The older contestants will have less time to waste when it comes to love, so I think they’ll be much better at laying their cards on the table almost immediately - asking more deeper questions such as life ambitions rather than what their favourite sex position is for example.
