Love Island has had it's fair share of dramas over the years with shock bomshells, dumpings and exits. Series 11 has already provided the drama in the first week, with the first ever celebrity bombshell, Joey Essex arriving on the first night. With the TOWIE legend's arrival however, came a brutal dumping.
The 33-year-old chose to recouple with makeup artist Samantha, which caused her partner Sam to be sent packing.
It's not the first time the villa has seen a dumping so quickly, with season 7 Islander Shannon Singh receiving a brutal text message to say she had been dumped so early on. With all the drama over the years, there's no surprise ITV viewers have fallen for hoaxes circulating social media. In 2022 one 'hoax' went so far, that ITV bosses forced to step in and deny the rumours.
The show was hit with rumours that Paige Thorne had walked out, but show insiders quickly shut down the whispers. A fan page on Facebook sparked the speculation with a post claiming: "BREAKING NEWS: According to close sources, Paige Thorne has reportedly left the Love Island villa!". However, ITV Love Island came forward to clear the air, stating: "This is complete and utter nonsense.
Paige has not left the show and is still in the villa." The drama followed the emotional exit of Jacques O'Neill, Paige's beau on the show, who decided to leave the villa. In a tearful confession, he said: "I just wish I could finish my journey off with you in here but I'm going to go home today."
