Following this, fans of the show took to Twitter to accuse the show's producers of "crafting Whitney's downfall" and attempting to give her a "villain edit." One wrote: "These Whitney clips are so unnecessary, the producers are plotting her downfall [crying emoji] #LoveIsland" "The producers told the islanders whitney was popular to start her downfall #loveisland" argued another, while a third added: "Not being funny, so the producers want to give Whitney the villain edit, please tell me who they would rather we like instead? #LoveIsland." And another tweeted: "This beef over a bathroom could’ve been left out the edit, it’s giving villain edit for Whitney and you proper hate to see it.
