Love Island fans complain to Ofcom over Faye's behaviour towards Teddy amid row

Love Island fans have made 1,600 complaints in the week since Faye Winter's cruel rant that mocked her fellow islanders. Figures released by the regulator yesterday (25 August) showed that in the week since the episode broadcast on 17 August, over 1,600 complaints were made "related to the behaviour of a contestant".

ITV boss, Kevin Lygo, has defended the number of Love Island complaints from the 2021 series. The hit ITV2 dating show ended on Monday, where Millie Court and Liam Reardon were crowned the winners, and during the latest season it received nearly 25,000 Ofcom complaints following Faye Winter and Teddy Soares' explosive row.
