Former Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has shockingly claimed she was paid just £25 a day when she first appeared on the E4 reality show.
The 34-year-old made a brief appearance on the first series, which first aired 2011, before becoming a full time member of the cast in the second season. During her eight year stint on the show, the mum of one went through several dramas in her love life.
From being introduced as Jamie Laing’s love interest, to later going on to have a roller coaster relationship with Spencer Matthews. The star also dated co-star Andy Jordan during her time on the show.
Alongside this, came countless amounts of drama, but despite providing hours of entertainment for audiences, Louise revealed her ‘poor pay’ as she slammed the show a ‘waste of good education’. Before appearing on the show, Louise, sister of I’m A Celebrity king, Sam Thompson had secured a geography degree at the University of Edinburgh, before deciding to move down to London.
“I came to London and it was a funny old time for me because I was trying to be a serious student up in Edinburgh and had cool friends up there,” she revealed on Elizabeth Day's How To Fail podcast. “They're all a bit more academic and studious and then I was going to film on Made in Chelsea where we were just filming in nightclubs and driving fast cars – that kind of thing.” She then went on to say that she was paid just £25 a day when she first joined the show.
