Lorraine Kelly has become a source of inspiration for many after losing 1.5 stone and cleaning up her diet following the Covid-19 lockdowns.
For many, lockdowns were a time of indulgence as there wasn't much better to do than eat. This was the case for Lorraine who said that she got into the habit of eating junk food which led to her weight creeping up.
The Glasgow-born broadcaster was keen to slim back down to a size where she felt more comfortable. She said those around her were telling her that she looked okay, but she admitted that she felt "tired and a bit dimmed".
She says that she is sure many feel a similar way after the past few years, and has made a point to share the weight loss journey that she made with WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers. Lorraine has said that weight loss is not about cutting things out completely, but instead being more aware of what you eat.
In terms of exercise, the 62-year-old simply clocked in 10,000 steps a day, which she did with the help of Angus, her beloved pup.
Speaking to the Express about her new eating habits, Lorraine said: “It isn’t a stupid, silly diet because diets don’t work, as we know. It’s just about making little changes. We all know what is good for us, we all know what we are supposed to eat, so it is about getting that balance right.
"I'm not bored or miserable and thinking about food all the time, just eating well.
