Coleen Nolan revealed she was still hungover during Loose Women on Tuesday, following a boozy night out with Brenda Edwards, who returned to the show for the first time since her son's death. Brenda has been absent from the ITV daytime show while grieving the loss of her music pioneer son Jamal Edwards following his sudden death in February this year at the age of 31. And following Brenda's emotional pre-recorded interview with Coleen on Monday's instalment of the show, the ladies decided to have a catch-up - the effects of which Coleen was still feeling.
"I knew she was nervous about coming today, so we decided to meet up last night in the hotel where I stay, and she came over, and we had dinner, and alcohol may have been involved," Coleen explained. Ruth Langsford queried: "Just a little bit?" Brenda quipped: "I never pushed her to it!" Coleen hilariously responded: "Well, you kind of did. But we had a lovely catch-up, and we laughed a lot, and we cried a lot.
"And we laughed a lot, and they brought us cookies at one point because they didn't know what to do with us - sitting there and crying in the bath. It's like, wow." The day before, Brenda emotionally spoke of her son Jamal's final moments during a pre-recorded interview on Loose Women. Marking the first time she has spoken of her son on television following his tragic passing, Brenda explained to Coleen that despite Jamal's death, she'd taken comfort from being with him and "holding his hand" in his final moments.
