High street banking giant Lloyds has confirmed closures of its banks across England and Wales.
A total of 44 branches of Lloyds and Halifax banks will close, due to customers carrying out “significantly” fewer transactions at these locations.
Unite said the decision was a “bitter blow” to staff and customers and accused the bank of “walking away” from local communities.
