Lizzo has released an apology after fans pointed out that she used a derogatory term in her new song “Grrrls.”
The 34-year-old Grammy-winning singer took to her social media accounts on Monday (June 13) to announce that a new version of the song is being released with a lyric change.
“It’s been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song ‘Grrrls.’ Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language,” Lizzo began her apology.
