Earlier this season, Alisson missed three games because of a similar injury. He picked it up during the last part of the 1-1 draw with City in November.
He also didn't play in last weekend's 3-1 Premier League win against Burnley because he had the flu. But he had started training again earlier this week.
Kelleher, who has played 13 times this season, was already expected to start the League Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley next Sunday. He has played in every game in the competition this season.
