Lionsgate Inks New Multi-Year Deal With Casting Executive Marcello Bellisario

EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate casting executive Marcello Bellisario has signed a new multi-year deal as EVP, Television Casting for Lionsgate Television and Starz.
Bellisario will continue to oversee casting for both Lionsgate Television and Starz, reporting directly to Lionsgate Television Group Chair & Chief Creative Officer Kevin Beggs, and working closely with Starz President of Original Programming Kathryn Busby. Bellisario is currently managing casting for The Hunting Wives, starring Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow, and Spartacus: House of Ashur, both of which are prepping to go into production. He previously served as SVP, Television Casting for the two companies.
“Marcello is one of the leading casting executives working in television today,” said Beggs and Lionsgate Television Group Vice Chairman Sandra Stern. “He is a champion for diverse casts and LGBTQ+ actors, and his keen eye for talent has played an important role in the success of Starz and Lionsgate Television’s current series, including multiple installments of the Power universe.”
Bellisario, a 10-year Lionsgate veteran, most recently managed casting for the upcoming Seth Rogen comedy for Apple TV+; the half-hour comedy Extended Family on NBC; Emmy-nominated limited series Love and Death; the John Wick prequel event The Continental; Outlander spinoff Blood of My Blood; CBS’ Ghosts and Apple TV+’s Acapulco.
