A delighted Herd said: “I thought we were outstanding. We dominated in scoring five goals and we hit the woodwork three times.
“It’s the response we wanted because we didn’t really have a good December but we ended the year with a bang.
“It’s probably one of our best performances since we came in, especially given we had five guys out.
“The calibre of goals was brilliant. Coming into the game there was a couple of guys with a bit of a confidence crisis but we were looking for a big performance and they didn’t let us down.”
