Lil Wayne sued by former bodyguard for assault and battery over alleged gun threat

Lil Wayne is being sued by one of his former bodyguards after the rapper allegedly threatened him with an assault rifle and then punched him in the head at the musician’s Hidden Hills, Calif., residence two years ago. In legal documents obtained by The Blast, Carlos Christian accused the “Lollipop” singer of assault and inflicting emotional distress.
The former guard said that following an altercation with the 41-year-old singer in 2021, he went to the bathroom and opened the door to find Wayne, who was still angry, brandishing the rifle. TMZ, who initially broke the story, reported that Wayne — born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.
— allegedly accused the bodyguard of leaking a photo of him to the press.Christian stated that he immediately left his former employer’s home and called the police. Wayne’s team has since denied the altercation happened, adding that Wayne did not even own a gun.
The Post contacted Lil Wayne for comment. According to the legal docs, Wayne “committed battery against (the bodyguard) in that while holding a gun, punched him on his ear with his fist.” The document states the “A Milli” singer “engaged in outrageous conduct, specifically, erratically threatening, assaulting, and battering (him) while holding a semiautomatic rifle.”Christian said that he was “harmed, including without limitation sustaining a physical and emotional injury, incurring medical bills, and losing immediate wages and having his earning capacity reduced.”Wayne’s former staffer is now saying that he is suffering from PTSD and was forced to seek “mental health treatment.”The bodyguard added that Wayne is a “convicted felon with a history of criminal firearm offenses.”This is not the first time that the “Love Me” singer has been
