Over 100,000 people are without power in Texas and Louisiana after a storm dumped above-average snow across parts of the south. The storm kicked up on Sunday, moving along the Gulf Coast toward Mississippi.

LOS ANGELES -- Leslie West, an iconic guitarist-vocalist who was behind several '70s rock anthems including “Mississippi Queen” with the popular band Mountain, has died. He was 75.His spokesman Steve Karas said West died Wednesday in Palm Coast, Florida.

Rolling Stone that the musician passed away on Wednesday morning (December 23). West entered cardiac arrest on Monday (December 21) and was rushed to a hospital near his home in Daytona, Florida.
