Lena Dunham will write and direct a live-action Polly Pocket film for Mattel, MGM and Dunham’s production company Good Thing Going, with Lily Collins set to star as Polly. The film will follow a young girl and a pocket-sized woman who form a friendship.

If you’re not aware, Amazon is looking to acquire MGM Studios for a massive $8.45 billion and means that future films could be heading directly to their streaming service Prime Video. This will likely lead to more commercially viable projects that will be cooked up at the studio, and a new MGM pic sounds like it meets that criteria.
