Leigh murder victim suffered 'multiple stab wounds before being pushed into canal' in chilling attack

The victim of a murder in Leigh was stabbed multiple times.
In a chilling attack it is believed Scott Anderton, aged 33, was then pushed into a canal.
Police have obtained a 36 hour custody extension so they can continue to question three suspects aged, 16, 17, and 18.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Three teenagers being held by police on suspicion of murdering a man from Leigh have had their time in custody extended.
"Three males – aged 16, 17, and 18 – were arrested on Friday
