The Parkhead star was the subject of a report in The Scottish Sun that stated he was at the 'centre of a sectarian storm' after liking the offensive post on Twitter.
Griffiths quickly unliked the tweet with the striker insisting it was a mistake and was only made aware of it when somebody told him.
