Laura Kuenssberg has announced she is officially stepping down as the BBC's political editor.
After seven years in the job, she will leave the role next Easter in order to take up a senior presenting and reporting position across the corporation on TV, radio and online.
Kuenssberg, raised in Glasgow, succeeded Nick Robinson as political editor in 2015 and was the first woman to hold the position.
