WWE has announced its annual “SummerSlam” will take place at Detroit’s Ford Field on Aug. 5. The announcement marks the first return of “SummerSlam” to Michigan in 30 years and the first WWE event to take place at Ford Field since “WrestleMania” in 2007. “Landing WWE ‘SummerSlam’ at Ford Field is a signature win for Detroit and continues the momentum of the Detroit Sports Commission in attracting major sporting events to the region,” said DSC executive director Dave Beachnau in a statement. “Metro Detroit enjoys a special place in WWE history and has produced many iconic moments. Thank you to the entire WWE family for entrusting us with this incredible opportunity, and we look forward to delivering a first-class experience.”

Laura Anderson has jetted off to Dubai just days after 'splitting' from her Hollyoaks hunk boyfriend Gary Lucy.
The reality TV star has shared clips on her Instagram story of a golden sandy beach with famous landmarks of the Emirati country in the background.
Laura, 33, from Stirling has admitted that she's going through "a very difficult time" at the minute. It's not known what has caused the tiff between her and Gary, who she met while filming Celebs Go Dating last summer.
In a post, the former Love Islander wrote: "I know I've been quiet on here and not myself this week or so.
"I'm going through a very difficult time, I actually don't think I've ever felt so stressed in my life. As we know Instagram isn't real life but over sharing negativity has never been something I like doing. Anyway my thought of the day for us all is - never lose yourself or your voice."
She followed this up with another pointed social media post on Sunday when she shared a quote to her 1.5M followers: "I deserve it all. The career. The love. The family. The peace. The life."
Underneath it she added: "We all do my angels. Especially the peace."
Gary spent Christmas Day with Laura and her parents before he was involved in a horror car crash on Boxing Day and later rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
They were also pictured out and about celebrating Hogmanay together.
But hawkeyed fans spotted that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram a week or so later, with Laura forced to give an explanation saying that she was showing him how to block someone.
Laura has since deleted all trace of Gary from her social media and appears to be trying to unwind in Dubai where she stayed for many years.
