More than half a decade ago, Rachel Brosnahan stepped in front of a vintage microphone to deliver a standup routine as 1950s Upper West Side housewife-turned-comic Miriam “Midge” Maisel. It was early on in production for the first season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and she was terrified. “I remember turning to Alex [Borstein, who plays Maisel’s no-nonsense manager Susie Myerson] and going, ‘Please don’t let me suck,’” Brosnahan tells Variety. “’If you see something, say something; like, please, any advice at all, I’ll take it.’ She looked at me and said, ‘I can’t help you. Take up your space, and ask for what you need. And bring this character into the world. Nobody knows who she is but you.’”

While this could create financial or scheduling concerns, it also gives the talent more time to ruminate on the part, new or old.  More often, actors returned to characters they previously inhabited. Alan Cumming, nominated three times for playing the slippery Eli Gold on the CBS drama “The Good Wife,” reprised the role as a guest star for the final season of its spin-off, Paramount+’s “The Good Fight.”  Adam DeVine, who played frequent foil Bumper Allen in the “Pitch Perfect” movies, became the lead of the Peacock spinoff, “Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.” And Adam Scott, Emmy-nominated for his performance in “Severance” last year, joined other cast members from the Starz comedy “Party Down” for the cater-waiter comedy’s third season, which aired 13 years after the previous season.

Quentin Tarantino announced via series of tweets last week the death of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’s leading man, Rick Dalton. He made the announcement via The Video Archives podcast, which he hosts with Pulp Fiction cowriter Roger Avary, and indicated that today’s podcast would be “a memorial episode designed by Quentin that features some of Rick’s best roles.”

Molly is no stranger to the world of Love Island, having flown out to South Africa to show off the winter Love Island villa, including the Beach Hut and fire pit, clad in her bikini. She shared videos to her Instagram stories, as she invited her followers to look at her "mini-tour" of the villa, whilst she listed all of the Love Island-related posts as 'Ad'.

Meghan Markle made for a rather glamorous hiker as she headed out in $157k (£124.29k) worth of jewellery, just hours after missing the coronation fo her father-in-law King Charles.The Duchess of Sussex, 41, headed out for a walk in California, for which she donned a simple activewear outfit of a vest top, leggings, and a jacket. However, her hiking ensemble was far from ordinary as she accessorised to the nines, including two jewellery pieces that had once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.The pieces inherited from Diana were a £17,800 Cartier watch, and a Cartier tennis bracelet, which estimates suggest would sell for £125,000 if went on auction today.
