During a Thursday press conference with attorney Gloria Allred, awoman named Effie accused embattled actor Armie Hammer of rape, with the LAPD confirming to The Hollywood Reporter that Hammer is a suspect in a sexual assault case that was opened Feb 3.

Armie Hammer is "the main suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation that was initiated Feb. 3 of this year," a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told Fox News on Thursday.  The investigation news comes after a woman accused Hammer of rape and physical abuse.
