LOS ANGELES -- Gabrielle Union filed a complaint Thursday with the state of California against NBC and the producers of “America’s Got Talent," the latest move in a fight over her allegations that she was fired for objecting to an on-set environment that tolerated racism.

The ACLU of Southern California on Wednesday filed suit against the city and county of Los Angeles and the city of San Bernadino over the curfews imposed in the areas in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. The suit was filed on behalf of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles and four individual plaintiffs.

Los Angeles County and several cities in the area extended curfew orders on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning as protests are again scheduled in some areas of Southern California. Los Angeles pushed back its curfew time from the 6 p.m.

On a late afternoon conference call with the region’s law enforcement leaders, Los Angeles County Sheriff Villanueva told the Los Angeles Blade that there will be a “significant” presence of police and deputies at Sunset Blvd and Crescent Heights are tonight, even though the planned protest was cancelled. The protest coincides with a curfew in West Hollywood starting at 4:00PM

LOS ANGELES- For the third day in a row, the number of positive results tests for COVID-19 rose in Los Angeles County. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) confirmed 50 new deaths and 1,824 new cases. Some of the new cases reported are from a backlog of test results. To date, LACDPH has identified 51,562 positive cases of COVID-19 across all areas of LA County, and a total of 2,290 deaths.
