Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon to Adapt ‘The Doubtful Guest’ for Director Andy Muschietti’s New Production Company

Kumail Nanjiani is the discovery who more or less discovered himself by discovering that the story of his life could be made into a great film called ‘The Big Sick’. He had been through the tale personally, he wrote with his wife Emily Gordon and became a force to reckon with in Hollywood.

Kumail Nanjiani will play Chippendales founder Somen “Steve ” Banerjee in an upcoming Hulu limited series called “Immigrant.” The show was announced Tuesday morning by Hulu and ABC chief Craig Erwich during Disney’s upfront press briefing.“Immigrant” is the true story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee (Nanjiani), the Indian-American entrepreneur who started Chippendales.
