Though we have yet to see anything outside of two “Venom” films, Sony is hellbent on making its own universe of Spider-Man-adjacent characters a thing. We have “Morbius” arriving soon, “Madame Web” just found its lead, and various other projects in development, including the upcoming “Kraven the Hunter.” And though this little superhero universe is still in its relative infancy, there are some heavy hitter actors signing on.

Paul Tazewell, a first-time Oscar nominee for Costume Design, sat with Best Supporting Actress nominee Ariana DeBose (who won the SAG Award earlier this week) in Disney’s panel for Deadline’s Contenders Film: The Nominees. The two have worked together on other projects, notably on Hamilton, before getting a call from Steven Spielberg about West Side Story that was too good to pass up.
