Kobe Bryant’s wife files wrongful death lawsuit against helicopter company

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has assured Kobe Bryant’s widow that pictures taken at the scene of the basketball legend’s death have been deleted.

An attorney for Kobe Bryant’s widow has slammed the alleged dissemination of the basketball icon’s death scene photos among Los Angeles authorities as “inexcusable and deplorable” behaviour.

Kobe Bryant's widow Vanessa Bryant is "absolutely devastated" by a report that said Los Angeles authorities shared photos from the scene of the helicopter crash that killed the NBA icon, their 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven other people in January. The Los Angeles Times said on Thursday that Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies shared graphic pictures of the accident site, a hillside in Calabasas, California.

On Monday, the sports world paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant as part of a public memorial service at Staples Center.

On Monday morning, about 20,000 people will pack Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, for a public memorial service honoringKobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant. The event, dubbed a celebration of Kobe's life, comes three weeks after the 41-year-old NBA icon and retired star of the team was killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, along with the 13-year-old girl, one of his and wife Vanessa Bryant's four daughters, and seven other people.

Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant have been laid to rest. According to E! News, a funeral service was held for the NBA legend and his young daughter on February 7, at the Pacific View Mortuary in Corona Del Mar, California. No additional details about the ceremony have been released at the time. Kobe, who was 40-years-old at the time of his death, and Gianna, along with seven others tragically lost their lives after a helicopter crash on January 26.
