A man who brandished a knife in a pub live-streamed himself on Facebook making threats which lead to an armed police stand-off.
Davide Sardu threatened to "kill everyone" and told the camera "next time, it's not your time next time" after he was told to leave the boozer.
Armed officers were called to the disturbance at the Bondgate Tavern in Darlington which led to a cordon being put in place on the evening of January 8, but Sardu states that he did not know he was committing a crime, as reported by Teesside Live.
At Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court Sardu, aged 42 and who had been remanded in custody, pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place and obstructing a police officer.
Magistrates heard how Sardu had entered the pub on January 8 and began showing staff a video asking for their assistance.
Joanne Hesse, prosecuting, said: "He has started to show staff a video of the person responsible for assaulting him on New Year's Day. He asked staff if they know the people in the video."
Sardu goes on to pull out a knife which he tells staff he has for his "protection" before he is asked to leave.
It is on leaving the pub that the 42-year-old records himself in a Facebook Live video brandishing the knife and holding it in clear view of the camera, the court heard.
Ms Hesse added: "He says I have to walk with a knife to protect myself. I’ll kill everyone, I’ll kill you, next time I’m f***ing killing you."
"He says next time, it's not your time, next time."
The defendant then barricaded himself into his flat for an hour and 20 minutes after armed police were called to the scene.
As firearms officers flooded the street, Bondgate was closed from Seaton Leng & Son Ltd Funeral Directors to the roundabout at the
