Kirk Cameron rang in the New Year by continuing to defy a stay-at-home order issued in Southern California. The "Growing Pains" alum, 50, has come under fire several times in the last month for reportedly hosting gatherings despite shutdowns in the state.Two caroling events Cameron helped organize last month featured dozens of gatherers standing closely and without masks.

Less than two weeks after being hit for backlash for hosting a Christmas carolling event in the midst of California’s stay-at-home order attempting to quell the surge of COVID-19 cases in the state, Kirk Cameron was at it again on New Year’s Eve.

On New Year’s Eve, Los Angeles County reported a third consecutive day of record coronavirus-related deaths. The tally was another 290 lives lost, although some of them are due to a backlog in reporting from the holiday weekend.
