Kings Of Leon‘s bassist, Jared Followill, seems to have dispelled rumours that the band will be making a surprise appearance at Glastonbury this year.Following a cryptic post on the band’s Instagram yesterday, Followill took to Twitter earlier today to share another update, writing: “Everybody keeps telling me we’re playing a secret gig at Glastonbury today. Somebody has to tell our manager, booking agent, singer, etc.. ASAP.”Yesterday, the band shared a video of their performance at Worthy Farm in 2008.
In the accompanying caption, they teased that they aren’t currently too far away from the festival grounds: “Had a great time at Glastonbury in 2008. It’s only a short trip away from our little gig at Hyde Park…”A post shared by Kings Of Leon (@kingsofleon)Yet Followill appeared to put the rumours to rest today, responding to a fan who teased that he might not be involved with proceedings, saying: “I guess there is a small chance they’re actually playing without me. I still would have at least liked to watch the show.”Everybody keeps telling me we're playing a secret gig at Glastonbury today.
