Kim Kardashian, LeBron James, More Stars Support For George Floyd’s Family After Death

Gianna Floyd, the six-year-old daughter of George Floyd, has thanked Kanye West for paying for her college education.The rapper has promised to fully cover the tuition fees for the daughter of African-American man Floyd, after the Minnesota resident died at the hands of a police officer last month.

Drake, 33, is applauding the charges made against officers Thomas Lane, J. Kueng and Tou Thao for their involvement in the death of 46-year-old George Floyd.

As the protests over George Floyd's death at the hands of police continue throughout the country, artists and influencers are stepping up to fund various initiatives that help the protesters, the cause, and the black community at large.

Two small-scale protests are due to take place in Manchester tonight as part of as part of a UK 'stand up to racism day of action' following the death in the US of George Floyd.

Amid the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators who joined together after the May 25 death of George Floyd at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer, you may have recognized a few familiar faces. Celebrities like Halsey, Ariana Grande, Emily Ratajkowski, and more have stood strong and took to the streets in cities like Santa Monica, California, where police teargassed and fired rubber bullets at peaceful protestors.

Celebrities are taking part in Blackout Tuesday. Social media users are taking to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to post pictures of black squares as symbols of solidarity with the black community.

The stars are stepping away from social media for the day as protests continue across America.

Social media went dark on June 2. It’s Black Out Tuesday, aka #TheShowMustBePaused, a day created in response to “the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black citizens at the hand of the police,” according to the organizer’s Instagram page.

The stars are stepping away from social media for the day as protests continue across America.

On Saturday, Kim Kardashian West posted a statement on Instagram expressing her support for those protesting for justice after the killing of George Floyd.

More than ten million people have signed an online petition demanding justice for George Floyd, making it the fastest-growing and biggest petition in the platform’s history.

LOS ANGELES -- The first time officers shot rubber bullets at MSNBC host Ali Velshi and his crew Saturday night in Minneapolis, he was willing to believe that the officials didn’t know they were press. The second time, Velshi said, they knew and shot anyway.
