Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner aren’t fans of Instagram‘s latest update.
In response to a series of changes made to the app recently, the 24-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder shared a meme to her Instagram Story, calling on the platform to return to its roots.
“Make Instagram Instagram again,” the post said. “Stop trying to be like TikTok I just to see cute photos of my friends.” The message ended with, “Sincerely, Everyone.”

Kylie captioned her Instagram Story, “PLEASEEEEEEE.” Her sister Kim reposted the same meme to her own account, adding the caption: “PRETTY PLEASE.”
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri addressed user’s concerns about the changes to the app in a video, noting that he was aware of the backlash over the app “shifting to video” instead of pictures. “We’re going to continue to support photos,” said in the clip. “It’s part of our heritage.”
He added that he still believes “that more and more of Instagram is going to become video over time,” explaining that they’re “going to have to lean into that shift while continuing to support photos.”
Adam also discussed the “recommendations” feature, which shows users content from creators they don’t follow. “We’re going to continue to try and get better at recommendations,” he said, “because we think it’s one of the most effective and important ways to help creators reach more people.”
He finished the video by asking for feedback from users, leading Chrissy Teigen to write on Twitter: “We don’t wanna make videos Adam lol.”
It seems Kim, Kylie and Chrissy have plenty of people who agree with them. A Change.org petition urging the app to walk back some of its updates currently has over 190,000 signatures.
