Furious parents have railed against tentative proposals for additional support needs schools in Kilmarnock.
Around 1800 people have backed a petition calling for the “closure” of Park School to be halted – a campaign council bosses say doesn’t accurately reflect the situation.
But early proposals could eventually see kids with complex needs shipped out to centres based in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
